About us and what we do

Five areas to instantly improve the quality of your life.

Experiences are what is memorable and The Freedom Response is about creating  meaningful experiences alone or with another person.

Here is a list of areas that I found to have the most impact along with some ideas of what to do:

Nature - nothing cleanses and refreshes the soul and spirit more than being in Gods creation. Going for a walk or a hike and take a back pack for a brief stop or implement some of the other ideas below. Getting a nice set of binoculars or taking a camera to document wild life creates a memorable experience. Nothing beats expanding your perspective more than being outside and seeing all of what God has created for us.

Art - learning new skills that help you embrace mistakes, learn that mistakes can create a new moment and to create muscle memory. Developing a ‘practice’ with a new medium expands perspective. Ask me at anytime…I usually have a journal, a planner and a sketchbook - all in one leather binder - with me to write, plan and do some form of drawing or water color to document my day in a creative way. All you need really is a pen and a notebook and some daily practice. You will notice as you create your brain slows down to focus on things that calm the mind and if you can do this with repetition you will learn that you can do it anywhere. If you realize you are doing this for yourself and that you are not trying to sell anything - it will make it fun.

Movement - fitness can be way more than just lifting weights. Putting things you can carry in a back pack and finding a nice spot to train in nature combines some of these ideas to make it more special.

Service - mentoring others, caring for others, or just meeting another man where he is at can take you outside of yourself.

Belonging - one on one or a small gathering or a community. This is a movement that requires just one time meeting up a month that most men can be apart of. I meet with men weekly and in groups monthly. Listening and sharing parts of your story helps you….and others.

BENEFITS from doing these actions daily or weekly?

Energized

Feels like the light gets turned on in your soul.

Laughter

Joy

Your mind gets active again

Gives me time to think

Gives me time to NOT think.

A sense of ‘I can become myself again’.

There are delightful surprises.

We have a lot in more in common that I think.

Its okay to change.

I’m not crazy.

And more.

I pray this helps you out of whatever you are experiencing.
